Thalia Spice, a Chicago area Asian and Thai restaurant, recently hosted Suzy Singh for a 'Dine for Life' dinner series on Dec. 8 and 9. The series was so successful that Thalia Spice is in talks to bring her back for an encore performance.
"A master at work, Suzy Singh appeared in the second season of MasterChef and strongly believes in the integrity of food, as well as integrity in the kitchen. We couldn’t be more happy with the success of the series and hope to bring it back. Stay tuned for updates," Vincent Tan, owner of Thalia Spice, said.
The fabulously successful, sold-out dinner series was an enchanting evening. For the dinner, the concept was a “Bon - Swad,” a French and Indian food fusion that translates as “Good Appetite.” The menu was an ultimate balance of classic French techniques with a spicy South Asian twist, and featured such courses like braised Cornish hen, with gosht stuffing, parsnip purée, mint chutney and roasted okra.
“Customers were able to meet Suzy in person as she prepared her amazing dishes that ‘wowed’ the senses,” Tan said.
