Lincoln Park’s bar for viewing Illinois State Redbirds games, Four Farthings Tavern and Grill, is gearing up for its 10-week winter euchre league. Taking place every Tuesday at 7 p.m., this league begins on Jan. 8.

"Our euchre league always brings a great atmosphere to the bar--great fun and great prizes," John Corry, owner of Four Farthings Tavern and Grill, said.

Cool prizes are at stake for the winner of the league at the end of 10 weeks. While playing the card game, participants will also benefit from regular Tuesday specials: 50-cent wings, $3 Coors Light bottles and $5 Captain Morgan drinks.

Interested teams can sign up by emailing John Corry at

Featuring ESPN 3, Four Farthings' customers can watch all of their favorite games from the University of Iowa and the Illinois State Redbirds, as well as all Missouri Valley Conference basketball games. Consider stopping by for live music on Friday nights, trivia every Wednesday, or karaoke on Thursdays and Saturdays.

"We love our Illinois State Redbirds, but you can spend Saturdays with us watching other games, too. Come for the football and stay for the karaoke on Saturdays," Corry said.
