Sarks in the Park, one of the best places for breakfast and brunch in the Lincoln Park area, is delighted to welcome Chef Alejandro Gomez into its family. Gomez is a celebrated breakfast chef in Chicago, and diners will surely appreciate his presence at the local favorite brunch venue, which now offers daily soups and weekly specials like Pumpkin Pie Pancakes and a Thanksgiving Dinner Sandwich with cranberry sauce and stuffing.
"Alejandro has designed locally inspired dishes using the best and freshest ingredients while keeping all of your old-time favorites on our menu," Eva Knapp, owner of Sarks in the Park, said. "We have added new items like Red Velvet Pancakes, the Bacon, Apple and Brie Omelet, and a juicy Hawaiian Barbecue Pork sandwich with fresh pineapple to the re-invented menu."
The new menu has included great additions to its already excellent list of dishes, courtesy of the culinary expertise of Gomez. He continues to bring to life all of Sarks' popular items, such as the Loretta, a choice of meat, melted brick cheese, mayo, diced green peppers, onions and tomatoes piled on toasted French bread; and The Disaster, the restaurant's famous homemade ground beef sausage, melted brick cheese, diced green peppers, onions and tomatoes piled on toasted French bread.
Sarks in the Park knows how to perk up a day, any day, every day, even a weekday. Customers may enjoy the restaurant's All-American Breakfast Mondays, which includes two eggs in any style, served with a choice of bacon, ham or sausage, hash browns and toast for $6. Sweet Tooth Tuesday features a choice of Daddy's pancakes, red velvet pancakes, chunky monkey pancakes, an apple pie French toast or captain crunch French toast for $6.50. Hump Day Omelets on Wednesdays includes the choice of any omelet on the menu, hash browns and a choice of toast for $6; and Thursday Throwbacks offers the choice of bacon, ham, turkey or veggie Loretta, and hash browns for $5.
"Whether you have a craving for our tried and true Lorettas and Disasters, or are ready to partake of one of our delicious new additions, we are sure that you will be impressed by our exciting menu!" Knapp said.
