What makes Simply It among the best is Tuan Nguyen and his attention to detail. I’ve been to Vietnam a number of times and I am impressed with this restaurant’s many vegetarian, tofu, seafood and meat dishes. My favorites – curry mussels or chem chep ca ry, banh hoi tom nuong (grilled shrimp with pasta) and ca kho to or catfish in a claypot. BUT mostly I have curry duck (extra hot). Always fresh ingredients as well as niice touches before and after a meal. BYOB.

This place is great! The Vietnamese owner was so friendly and enthusiastic. The setting is very cute, especially for a BYO. The Pho is outstanding, the papaya salad gets two thumbs up and the Coconut Mango beef (served in an actual young coconut) was a big stand out!! The only thing that we didn't love was a bland shrimp dish. Prices are very good too!

There's a plethora of asian places to get food, but not too many on par with this one. The staff really tries to take great care, and the prices are from reasonable to quite inexpensive. The food is fantastic!
If you're in the mood for something warm for the cold weather, you might try the Fisherman's Soup... it was excellent, and the large fed two of us and gave some leftovers.
Highly recommended.

This is by far my favorite restaurant in Chicago. Honestly, nothing beats it! It is very classy and very cheap, and you always leave here stuffed! The food is also really healthy and everything is made fresh and all natural. And it tastes amazing! Everyday they have fresh cut flowers on the table, soft music, and the waiter service is excellent, they're on top of their game here, and aim to please! Their lunch special is a huge deal. For around eight bucks you get a drink (unlimited), salad, soup, a huge entree, egg role, rice, and dessert! For dinner it is just as good of a deal at about 10 bucks, and you get more! Just be sure to get a reservation and BYOB. It is a very romantic place in the evening with lit candles and is very swanky. Might be okay to get just a little more than casual. But casual still would do. The owner is always around to make sure everything is perfect. I eat here about 3 times a week! Even if you don't like Asian food, give this place a try because it is different than other Asian food! There is something here everyone will love!!!!

I recently discovered this little gem in the heart of Lincoln Park. I always get the beef noodle soup (also know as pho) which is one of my favorite dishes of all time. I have been to Vietnam and I can tell you its as authentic and delicious as anything as you would get back there. The staff and owner are unbelievably friendly and welcoming. They go out of their way to be accommodating and make sure you are satisfied. It is also a BYOB and has no corkage fee which always makes me happy. The restaurant itself, while not large is very cozy and romantic. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone!! Its a great value and the food is to die for!

I recently moved here and can't believe my luck in finding this gem!
Tuan is a wonderful host, treats his loyal customers extremely well (surprise complimentary anyone?) though I have to say I eat here twice a week on average, whether take outs or dining in.
I'd recommend trying out their taro milk tea with buble (buble tender to chew and sweetened just right). Simply It's Beef is very well seasoned while their pho is a great comfort food (for under $13 bucks). I love their fried rice for quick lunch run option as well. Best of all is the banana fritters (I don't think it's in the menu, ask Tuan for it) is a great dessert with the banana crispy fried with flour at the just right ripeness and texture, a wonderful compliment for the crispiness. I think this dessert best enjoyed while warm so dine in for it!

I have ordered a variety of items for delivery, and have been delighted every time. The food is fresh and delicious. The complimentary fruit is a nice touch. The salmon on noodles was unbelievably good for a fish dish delivered - the salmon was cooked to perfection and very fresh. Our family has added Simply It! to our regular order out rotation.

If you are looking for great food, service and amazing value this is the place for you. Tuan Nguyen is an amazing Host/ Chef and pays attention to all his guests. It is such a hidden gem, you would never think that it would be hidden on Lincoln Ave. bar strip!! Tuan (as he prefers) is always there on hand. Quality Food, Quality Service, Quality Place.
