WOW! The presentation, layering of flavors, quality of the meat, seafood and fresh vegetables/herbs was the best of any Vietnamese restaurant I have ever been to--and is certainly better than 90% of the restaurants in Chicago. The atmosphere is great, the servers were great. I hope Hai Yen does great business here.

This is one of the best Vietnamese places in town. The price is right and the atmosphere is wonderful. Try the carmelized chilean sea bass and pho. Unbelievable!

Decor for the modest store front is exceptional for the location. Nice to see a more upscale look for a Vietnamese restaurant.
Food was good considering we dinned on opening night and staff was friendly which was a nice change compared to some.
Overall pretty standard fair. But I'd go back...

the food is amazing, reminds me saigon... the decor and the ambiance are wonderful... I love the painting on the central wall; the lighting at the bar is superbe.
