Brilliant. It's a pity custard hasn't caught on in Chicago because it's far superior to ice cream. Frozen yogurt need not even apply. Anyway, it's ridiculous. Go.

Great custard/ice cream....very creamy. I wish they were open year round, but unfortunately they are only open Memorial Day to Labor day. Get it while you can!

First, let me start by saying that I like Scooter's custard a lot. I always have a flavor of the day or vanilla scoop. My husband always gets a concrete mixer and he really like them. They have such a great variety and good frozen custard. However, as a born and bread Wisconsinite - no, it's not as good as the frozen custard available in Milwaukee, but it comes close.
Resently a new "frozen custard" stand opened up on North Ave. Trust me when I say do not "Just Induldge" or be swayed by trying another custard stand in Chicago. Scooters is the only real and authentic custard stand. Even though the "indulgence" attemps to be frozen custard, it can't even come close to the pure creamy heaven that is Scooters frozen custard.

Scooter's has the best tasting custard/ice cream in the city. Great flavor of the day choices and 'concrete' choices are endless. The owners are usually around and are great with the customers. Highly recommended. If you don't like it, great, that way I won't have to wait in line longer.
