Dion Antic, the man who brought us nightspots such as Iggy's, Liquid Kitty, Harry's Velvet Room and Get Me High Lounge, is behind this kitschy carryout-focused East Village hot dog joint. Expect Antic's usual irreverent spin on things -- the frankfurter choices are named after rockers or bands and the tiny space is decked with a stripper pole, rock memorabilia (like mini guitars) and photos of musicians. The lineup lists options like The Kiss, "masked" with chili and cheese and the Flaming Lip with cheese, jalapenos and giardiniera. Not in the mood for a wiener? Go for a Polish sausage or brat instead.
Good news for those who live or play in Lincoln Park: Antic is planning a second location (350 W. Armitage Ave). Current ETA: late September.
