Christopher Peckat, the man behind The Ashland and the now-shuttered Meritage Cafe & Wine Bar, opened this Italian spot in in Wrigleyville, right next door to his other project, Risque Cafe. Peckat fitted the space with fire-themed murals and other hellish references (look for quotes from Dante’s Divine Comedy to debut in the space soon).
The menu features cracker-thin-crust pizza (which has Pabst Blue Ribbon in the dough instead of water), sandwiches and salads for now; additional offerings will debut down the road. Look for theme-inspired sandwiches like the Gluttony (meatballs, marinara and a blend of six cheeses) and the Lust (sausage with peppers and onions), plus pizza choices like the The False Profit with Italian beef, giardiniera, and roasted red peppers, and the Restraint, with eggplant, squash, onions, artichoke hearts and mushrooms.
