Molly's Cupcakes
- Neighborhood: Lincoln Park
- 2536 N. Clark St.
- Chicago, IL 60614

- Price range: $ (Under $9)
This cute-as-a-button Lincoln Park spot serves up cupcakes and more. The cupcake lineup lists fully frosted mainstays like classic flavors of red velvet and chocolate, vegan cakes and originals such as and pumpkin spice and key lime flavors. There's also DIY cupcakes -- you pick the cupcake and select your own frosting and staffers will frost ‘em to order. Personalize your cupcake at the sprinkle bar, a station stocked with a plethora of sugary toppings. Other offerings include granola parfaits, homemade ice cream, banana splits and muffins. Compliment that frosty goodness with a cappuccino or house java. Seating includes a wooden window bench, brightly colored laminated tables and park-like swings that hang in front of the coffee and ice cream bar (sorry, they’re stationary, so you can’t swing). Why all the kid stuff? The restaurant is named after owner John Nicolades' grade school teacher – she used to bake cupcakes for her students’ birthdays (she even supplied Nicolades with some of her recipes). A portion of Molly's profits is donated to local schools, so there's no reason to feel guilty for indulging anymore!
