While the stark white walls and blaring TV screen don't offer much in the way of ambience, the food is something else at this sibling to Lao Beijing and Lao Sze Chuan in the heart of Chinatown Square. The menu is quite large, but its raison de etre are the Shanghai specialties. Try the xiao long bao -- tiny delicate dumplings filled with broth and a small pork meatball. The braised pork belly in preserved bright red bean cured sauce is another hightlight.
