This Place Shouldn't Be Missed!!!

The food is so good! The restaurant is so cute! The service was definitely slow but not in a bad way at all. It was a nice, long meal and that's the way I like it. It's BYOB so we sat and enjoyed the company and the wine and the appetizers as they came out. I think our meal took two hours, which was perfect. And I want to say again, YUM! We had 2 beef dishes and one chicken dish and they were all great. For the sides we got lentils, a curried vegetable mixture, and a squash mixture. They were all heavenly! You should seriously check this place out!

We've eaten at a few Ethiopoian restaurants in the area and we enjoyed this one most of all. The owner is gracious and made some good recommendations. Each new dish we tried left us wanting more. And at a terrific price. We will be regulars for certain.

Great family-run Ethiopian restaurant

We've visited the restaurant twice now. Both times, the food has been excellent! It is an excellent value in that you get a lot of food for your money.

This time, I was particularly touched by the family atmosphere. We saw that they were now accepting reservations, so we made a reservation thinking that they must have gotten very busy. Sadly, there were still plenty of tables empty when we arrived, but the owner and his wife were really excited when we arrived. They showed us to our table with it's own little reserved sign on it! As we were leaving, the wife was sitting down with the kids to their own dinner at a little table near the kitchen.

Lalibela is my favorite kind of restaurant to support - a small, authentic, family-run restaurant with excellent food!
