I've been twice, once for dinner, once for lunch, and the food was excellent both times. Husband and I both feel that it's the best filet, which is saying a lot for this town. Service is outstanding as well. The prices are high, and the only other negative I'd give would be the lack of lighting in the main dining hall on the second floor. But that's a personal issue, and it's common in a high-end steak house.

Visited for the first time with a friend/colleague from Connecticut and we were both thoroughly impressed. We began the evening at the wine bar and ordered a flight of white wines -- both international and domestic wines. All were priced at a third of what a full glass of wine would cost, which made it economically pleasing. Pauline, our waitress, made the experience very nice especially nice. After about an hour of tasting wines, we headed to the second floor dining area for dinner, which was very good. Adam, our waiter, was friendly and noticeably enthused about his job. However, the music was way too loud and did not seem to be appropriate tunes for a upscale steakhouse. The music was more fitting for a family restaurant like a Joes Crab House or someting. Even so, I would highly recommend the wine bar for a nice after-work-get-together.

I was eating dinner with my girlfriend at Fleming's few weekend ago. I been to a lot of steakhouse over the last few years I have to say this one tops it out. From the moment we walk in to the moment we left we were treated like guests in someone's house. Our server Reid was extremely knowelgable in terms of the wine list and the the food. The lobster tempera was to die for. Also with the mac and cheese. I Love ice cream and the lava cake. I would for sure be a regular at this amazing steakhouse.

My family and I recently visited Flemings and we were all most impressed with this new near north steakhouse. From the tasty appetizers to the succulent steaks and perfect service, we will be back again very soon. Greeted by friendly hostesses, we were guided upstairs to a beautiful dining room and bar with a great view of the outside which made us feel right at home. Keif, our waiter, was very knowledgeable and helpful in guiding us to a wonderful experience. We started with a shrimp appetizer which was awesome. Bone in Ribeye steaks cooked just right and seemed to melt in our mouth and tasty salmon too. Although the dessert menu was kinda slim wew were more than satisfied and didnt have much room for it anyway. Great place, great atmosphere and great service makes this a great place to be. We will be back again very soon!!

My dinner at the Fleming's in downtown Chicago was an ideal dining experience. For a restaurant that has just opened they seem to handling it pretty well. Our greeting was ambitious but a nice contrast to being ignored or treated as an inconvenience at other restaurants more established. The service was attentive and not over bearing. Our server was very knowledgable and informative without trying to hardsell us on the pricey items. He asked about our tastes and preferences and assisted us in a decission based on that. When the first wine we selected wasn't available, he made recommendations that proved to be suitable substitutes. The food was prepared perfectly and some of the flavor characteristics were pleasantly surprising. When your expectations are established by a variety of steakhouses that do the same thing the same way, it is nice to find something a little different. The atmosphere is sexy. We extended our visit to sit in the bar for that glass of wine that you're never sure if you want or not. You get the feeling you're in the place where if something is going to happen in Chicago, it's gonna happen here.

I have not eaten dinner here yet, but have stopped in several times for a drink and appetizer. The bar offers wonderful people watching with the full length windows, the wine list has something for everybody and is quite well done. The ahi tuna appetizer is one of the best versions I have had anywhere - seared perfectly every time. The bartenders are all very personable.

Better bars in the area, better steakhouses too. You have both, but still a distant second...

My boyfriend and I had dinner at Fleming's last night.
We can not say enough great things about our dining experience. From the moment we walked through the door we were greeted by three smiling and friendly (and pretty!) hosts. First we had drinks at the bar, where the bartenders were extraordinarily attentive (and poured a great martini)! Next, we were treated to exceptional service at our table-attention to detail was a wonderful surprise. As for the food, the lobster tempura was to die for!! Our steaks were cooked to perfection and dessert!!! The chocolate lava cake was well worth the wait! Best steakhouse in town. We will definitely be back and are taking our friends with us.
