Flavorful, but a little tired

This place has been around forever, and kind of feels like it. The food was delicious (wanted to save money for dinner next weekend, so only had their famous bookbinder and clam chowder) and the waitstaff was mostly personable. At the same time, the place was relatively dead on a Sunday evening, and the dining room just has a run down feel to it. If i were managing this landmark spot, i would spend a little time replacing fluorescent bulbs (albeit hidden bulbs) and create a more lively atmosphere.
