If you love meat, go for it. If not, obviously this place is not great for vegitarians.

While this is a throwback to years ago, Mannys has never changed from its original concept...great deli, steam table food. The staff is very friendly, especially the guy slicing the corned beef. He alone is worth the visit. If you love corned beef, then this is the temple to worship in. There is sooooo much corned beef stuffed into this sandwich. You have to have the homemade potato pancake. For those who do not eat meat, they also have incredible salads. Time and time again, Mannys beats out another deli in Chicago. Every politician in Chicago has eaten here, including Obama. And they have FREE Valet parking. What more can you ask?

I have lived in Chicago, New York, and LA and this is the best deli by far. The giant meaty sandwiches are incredible. The pastrami and corned beef are to die for. The also have great matzo ball soup, mac and cheese. and potato pancakes. I recently found out they opened for dinner and it was great to stop by before I went to the United Center. I was happy to see that the had free regular parking and free valet parking. I also stopped by for breakfast and the had great fresh bagels and eggs. This is one of my all-time favorite places to eat. There is no need to eat at any other deli ever! I am pretty sure a father and son run the show. They are always there watching over the place. Keep up the good work.

What a waste of money for run of the mill sandwich. $17.50 gets you one corn beef sandwich, one patato pancake, slice of cheese cake and a coke tha was all ice and 8 oz.. There are many other better values and better sandwichs.

Not only do you get a sandwich that can feed your whole family, but more importantly, it is delicious. The corned beef/pastrami combo is the best sandwich in the city. Both are carved fresh for your sandwich, served on the onion roll, with the best potato pancake I've ever had. I've been here many times with different people and they all are blown away; no matter what they order.

Great food, but who wants to eat in a cafeteria? Did find that the rye bread is way too small for the the sandwiches. But, the food will keep us going back.
Report This ReviewOne Word, RIP-OFF ! The nerve of them to charge such ridiculous prices. $12 for a corn beef sandwich with a potato pancake. Give me a break ! The dining room has not changed since 1942. People are NOT showing up the way they used to. Good for them ! The prices are shameful. I will never patronize again.
Report This ReviewBEST DELI IN THE CITY! This place rocks. The food is amazing. I had the matzah ball soup, meatloaf, pasta, and corn bread! I could barely walk afterwards. It was sooo good at it cost only $10!
Report This ReviewManny's is the last of the great Chicago Delis. Everyone compares bagels and delis to New York, this is Chicago and Manny's is the best deli around. Find a bigger and better Corned Beef Sandwich anywhere; I dare you, because you can not do it; not even in New York. I was born and raised in Chicago, I have been going to Manny's all my life, and love it every time. Thank you to, the late Manny, Ken, family and staff (especially Gino, the best Corned Beef Man around) for continuing the great tradition.
Report This ReviewI cracked up when I read the post that said Manny's it a lot like the Lower East Side. Right, and the Cubs are a lot like the Yankees. Manny's latkes are quite thick, chewy, and greasy, not unlike a moon pie. Corned beef is ok, but not served hot like it is at Katz's or Sarge's. No beer, also, unlike the great NY delis. Ok for Chicago, I guess.
