One of Chicago's most popular breakfast spots, Lou Mitchell's is famous for its Sunday brunch and homemade baked goods, but be prepared to wait in line if you go for Sunday brunch. The breakfasts are moderately priced and the food is better than at most diners, but maybe not as good as its exalted reputation. If you like feeling full after breakfast or lunch, this is the place for you.

The service was this spot's highlight...from the complimentary doughnut holes while we waited an extra 5 minutes for a booth to the multiple server...
