Chef Jason Paskewitz has been in a number of big kitchens around town (Four Seasons and Nine, to name a couple), but this Lincoln Park spot, which he operates with partner Ryan O'Donnell, was designed to be a smaller and more approachable neighborhood bistro. The dinner menu, divided into small, medium, large and extra-large plates, focuses on American classics with French and Italian influences. Though offerings change seasonally, options might include duck confit nachos, steamed mussels with pancetta, white wine and herbs, whole-roasted chicken with root veggies, and steak frites, all prepared with a eye toward local, sustainable ingredients. Custom cocktails such as Gemini Lemonade (Ketel One Citron, fresh lemon, basil-infused syrup) and a pomegranate daquiri (served up) join a globetrotting wine selection at the bar.
