Egglectic Cafe
4.4
Egglectic is the happening breakfast spot for Wheatonites. It bills itself as a breakfast stop with some lunch options on the side; many diners continue to order the breakfast choices after noon. Fritatta skillet dishes like the Blue Bayou (eggs, bleu cheese, spinach, bacon and tomatoes) are big favorites, as are the specialty French toast dishes, like pecan-roll and banana-bread French toast. The lunch crowd also orders the pecan Dijon salad, wrap sandwiches and melts. This place gets packed on weekends, so expect a wait if you show up on a Saturday or Sunday mornings after 9 a.m. You'll sit amongst Wheaton College students in their pajamas, book club members chatting about their latest read and families with kids of all ages.
