Overall rating:

The food was ok but we were given the wrong soup and my mashed were cold. The server never checked on us once even though there were only 2 other tables in the place. Much better places to go for what we spent.

No Frills; Great Food Dining

Overall rating:

A basic no frill good meal at decent prices. The service was easy going and friendly. A nice small bar and the food was served timely. Music played in the background, but never loud enough to dominate the conversation. Highly recommended.

We went here for my birthday and had a great dinner. We enjoyed the laid back atmosphere, reminded me of the now gone Leo's Lunchroom, and Alchemy Cafe.

Penelope's has a nice little bar. The food and service were great. Started with some very tasty Turkey Noodle Soup. For entrees, we had the Spinach Stuffed Chicken Breast and the Lime-Chipotle Pork Chops with mashed potatoes - both were delicious. For desert we shared a big piece of Caramel Apple Pie, and they brought it out with the requisite birthday candle. We will certainly be back.

greatfor breakfast (broccoli hash sounds weird, but it is tasty). went for bbq last night and thought it was really good, too. saying the service is slow is an understatement, but at least they have been unfailingly friendly. what's the rush anyway?

After reading the reviews, I was anxious to try the food, however I was treated rudely upon entering the establishment and will not return. The man working behind the counter seemed to have issues and felt comfortable taking them out on customers.
