Billy Goat Inn

Unlike Sam Sianis' famous well-worn Lower Michigan Avenue location, this 1996 version of the Billy Goat (here called an 'inn' rather than a 'tavern') is positively pristine. The red brick building and its surrounding wrought iron fence are bathed in sunlight by day, and United Center floodlights by night. The menu at the new location is greatly expanded, too: Patrons no longer need to remember if it's Coke or Pepsi being poured here--they're both on tap. And if they ask for fries, they'll get fries instead of the cook's retort, 'No fries! Chips!' because both greasy treats are available.
