Forest Park, IL 60130

Yum Thai has been serving up authentic Thai to the Forest Park area since 1985 (the family-owned restaurant has been operated by Ros, Pat and Eddy Katekaew since 1999). The regular menu includes appetizer classics like egg rolls, satay and crab rangoon, and entree standards like pad Thai, red, green and panang curries, and sweet-and-sour pork. Yum Thai also features a second authentic Thai-language menu (don't worry, they have a translated version on hand). This menu includes dishes like mee grawb laad naa, deep-fried rice vermicelli noodles, with fresh bean sprouts, red bell peppers, Thai-style scrambled eggs, fried shrimp and tofu and gaeng kua sapparot gong, a sweet-and-sour stir-fry with coconut milk, red chile paste, finely-crushed pineapple, kaffir lime leaves, fish sauce and shrimp.
