Singha Chicago's Premier Thai Restaurant
- Neighborhood: River North
- 340 N. Clark St.
- Chicago, IL 60610
- 312-467-0300
- Price range: $ (Under $9)
With no dinner entree priced at more than $7, your party is encouraged to order several and share family-style. The owner, Eddie Dulyapaibul, also owns four other Thai restaurants in Chicago, including Star of Siam (also in River North). In addition to all the favorite cuisine selections, there's sake, plum and contemporary wines, Anchor Steam, Beck's, Kirin, Tsing Tao and Amstel Light, plus typical domestic beers. Seating is designed the same way as it's done in Thailand, with padded benches surrounding the tables and no chairs except in the barroom. The dining room is a large plaza containing tables for various party sizes; if you've got a group, try to reserve the single private room for between 10 and 14 people, which is cordoned off by a curtain.
