When your hours are 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. daily, your target market is pretty obvious. This West Lakeview spot, located in the former home of River Kwai II, aims to please the after-hours party set with something other than the usual burrito, slice or Chicago-style dog. Chef-owner Alan Julamoke, who’s also behind Asian Avenue a few doors down, whips up faves such as pad Thai and fried rice. The menu is mostly Thai, but you’ll find Chinese influences in some entrees, such as orange and cashew chicken. A counter-service setup lends itself to takeout, but the small, bright orange space also seats about 25 at smart little wooden tables and a stool-lined counter in the front window. If you do dine in, take advantage of the BYOB status.
