Amarit, which was a Gold Coast favorite since the early 90s, decided to pack up and move to the South Loop in 2007. Well, not exactly pack up--they decided on a completely new look for this space. But the contemporary feel extends to the food; they added some pan-Asian spark to their menu of traditional Thai fare. Look for mussels with wine and cream sauce, seasame chicken, and "Thai-style" barbecue spare ribs. There's also a fairly large private party room in this space.

Great place for Thai food. The value would be a "4" if they included rice with the Chinese-style entrees. Charging an extra $1 just seems cheap. ...
