Run by the Flores family, the Taqueria el Asadero is a find for fans of burritos, tacos and other simple Mexican dishes. Short-order cooks grill the meat, including lean skirt steak and chicken breast, on order before slicing and binding it together with peppers, cheese, onions, lettuce and tomato in a giant flour tortilla. Chips are also fried fresh, salsa verde is hot-hot-hot. Lunch or dinner comes to less than $5 per person unless you order the guacamole, the most expensive item on the menu at $4.25. The interior is worn, rimmed with comfortable booths and strung with sombrero lampshades. It is the food that owner Efrain Flores takes pride in.

Not much in the way of atmosphere, but a very good skirt steak burrito at a very reasonable price.
