I've been here several times since they've opened (and subsequently re-opened) and every time its been great. Everyone in the resturant is friendly, tho i will say the service can sometimes get slow, i've never been disappointed in the rolls. For what you are getting in such a cute and fun spot its definatly worth checking out. The take out menu is great too for when you need your sushi fix on your lunch break. Can't wait to go again

Awful. Simply Awful. I've tried the sushi here several times now, with continued disappointment in the taste and smell. While the people are very nice, and the service is prompt, the quality of the food is something one should run from. Your time and money are better spent somewhere else.

This place has to be the WORST sushi place I have ever eaten in the city of Chicago. If you wrote a post giving it a rating of anything over 1- they must be paying you a pretty penny. The service on a Friday even when NOT that busy, 1 waitress could not possibly handle a 6-top, 5-top, and a 4-top. (most places could but again, we're talking about Rollapalooza here) They microwaved our edamame in front of us, rolls fell apart, fish NOT very fresh, rolls were not very inventive (not that that dictates whether sushi is good or not). But to top it all off, for a BYOB (yes on a Friday night) - they didn't even have enough wine glasses. A suburban mall food court sushi joint would equate my experience at "Rollapalooza" - skip this place, save your $$$ b/c you will be truly disappointed and will be flabbergasted that you spent $1 of your hard earned money here.

Great place! The sushi isn't going to beat out the high end type sushi but I'll definitely frequent this place after a wonderful 1st visit. I recommend getting the combinations. You can choose among different sets of three rolls that range in price from $6 to $20 total for three rolls (roughly 20-24 pieces). Especially for on the go, I'll never buy sushi at Whole Foods again because sushi at Rollapalooza is better and you get more for your money.
Report This ReviewThe rolls are so delicious and VERY reasonably priced. The waitstaff and sushi chefs are so friendly! the restaurant is very small so be prepared to wait a bit on a busy night, or order the food to go. This is one of my staple sushi places now!
Report This Reviewa good find! a friend and i went in randomly and was pleasantly surprised. the decor was simple and the rolls were good! just enough space to enjoy a meal over a conversation and service that was friendly. a little on the slower pace, but we were in no hurry to leave either. if you're in the mood for trying something diff., the ninja turtle was delicious!
Report This ReviewI've never written a review before this, but believe me when I say this restaurant is not good. I can appreciate the fact that they *just* opened and actually took that into consideration before writing this...
The service was awful (is it crazy that I wanted utensils to eat with?), the prices are absurd (way higher than other neighborhood sushi spots) and the fish was stinky and tasted bad. Worst spicy tuna roll I've ever had (worse even than that found at a grocery store). Did I mention how overpriced I found it to be?
Save your money and eat Ramen Noodles. Or, if you want edible sushi, go anywhere else.
