Don't think you can get away without breaking your diet here. This Garfield Ridge ice cream parlor serves up rich Homer's and Hershey's ice cream in decadent sundaes, shakes and handmade waffle cones. Housemade toffee apples, pies and frozen bananas are a few of the other sweets you'll find in addition to the jars of candy and cases of bottled soda scattered throughout the store. Plus, you can order up old-fashioned treats from the 1949 soda fountain. Be sure to have dessert first though; the regular food is easy on the pocket and homemade (think pot pies, chili and juicy burgers), meaning you'll probably get pretty full. Sit at the counter or a table and take in the scenery: the knicknacks are all real family treasures with their own stories; if you ask, Papa, a.k.a. Ron Kozak, will certainly tell you more.
