You can see a caricature of Ditka's face on every plate here. You can see Ditka's NFL Coach of the Year trophy in a glass case. "Mike is very involved in the restaurant, the menu, the decor and even has been known to join private dining events," says director of sales Heather Sampognaro. Despite its sports bar touches and its owner's blunt-nosed pedigree, Mike Ditka's manages to be a pretty classy place. Specialties include the popular pot roast nachos and Da Coach's pork chop. Steaks and seafood entrees round out the menu, along with a less expensive lineup that includes a burger, meatloaf and chicken dishes. Several TVs are tuned to sports, and there's Sinatra-style live entertainment Tuesday through Saturday evenings.
