Rick Nuzzo and Peter DeBoer recently took over this cozy steak house from its long-time owner, and they've streamlined the menu. You can still get a good steak, and the popular salad bar is still here, but there are far fewer seafood entrees, mainly because the restaurant now serves only fresh fish. "We figure if we're going to offer a fish, we're going to offer a limited amount, and keep it fresh," Nuzzo says. The Addison Steak House has an uninviting exterior--pink stucco walls and a battered pink door beneath an awning--but inside it's warm and dark. There's a gas-powered fireplace in the main dining room, and to add to the atmosphere, the owners sometimes bring in a live dance band. "We call ourselves fine dining in a casual atmosphere," Nuzzo says. "It's a casual, classy kind of joint."
