GREAT FOOD, GREAT AMBIENCE, GREAT VALUE

Flavor is what one expects in a restaurant - suprises. The tastes of the entrees such as Red Velvet Pan Cakes, The sea food entres,and meats are outstanding. The wines selections are made with great care. Each and every side dish is an adventure with a pleasant ending. Usually the art is appealing - we purchased three pieces so far. But the crowning glory is the owner. Her personality and warmth makes everyone feel at home. I give Flavor 4.9 out of 5 stars.

A Neighborhood Gem

I have been going to Flavor for years. I go to breakfast with my parents and I attend Jazz nights with my husband. The grits at breakfast keep me coming back. By far, the BEST in the city. The are so good, that I craved them when I was pregnant. The desserts are so decadent that most of the time, I stop eating my dinner so that I can eat my dessert there before we leave. The owner, Rochelle, is the biggest treasure of them all. She makes you feel truly appreciated. You feel as though you are in your home waiting for a precious meal. She is catering to her customers because if/when there is a problem she is quick to come up with a solution. She is focused on retaining her customers. I will continue to keep Flavor on my weekly calendar.

I've been to this place only a few times with friends, but we have always enjoyed the atmosphere and food and would definitely recommend. The bands that I've seen there kept us dancing in our seats! Restaurant is small, but cozy and comfortable.

Went with a friend recently. Surprised to find the restaurant was located in a mall. Atmosphere was nice although the space was very tight. The food was mediocre - we had mostly appetizers; I believe it was the sampler platter with shrimp, calamari, chicken. Everything (except the fries) were overcooked and crumbly. The crab cake, however with baby spinach was delicious. The service was good and the owner did offer to bring us a new plate of food. This was a Thursday night so there was jazz and the band was fantastic. How they fit in that small space is still beyond me. But they did and the vibe was nice. I would go back and give the food another try.
