Large company group, Overall good exprience
By KK from NW Burbs, May 30, 2008

We were seated immediatly with a 20 people group, the waiters were excellent, maybe even too excellent. The salad buffet was pretty good, the meat was great except the couple instances of oversalty fillets. You better be a meat eater and hungry to get the bucks worth from this place.

Mother's Day Dinner
By Chester from West Burbs, May 21, 2008

Overall rating:

Had a 6:30 reservation, were sat by 6:45. Not bad for Mother's Day. Salad bar was excellent, from basic sushi to lobster bisque, prosciutto and cheeses, but who am I kidding, we were there for the MEAT! Try the flank steak, charred on the outside, juicy middle, also try the garlic sirloin. Could have lived without the bacon wrapped chicken (dry), try the little sausages, very tasty. Service was adequate, our server tended to wander a little, but he had plenty of back up that made up for it. Yes, a little pricey, but no more than you would pay at a higher end steakhouse. Hint: sign up for their email list and they will send you a coupon for $25 off.

Bad Service

I visited this restaurant at the spur of the moment, hoping to enjoy a fine dinner. I was very disappointed that we were not allowed to dine at your facilities. Our party was not aware that there was a dress code requirement nor did the hostesses inform us of same. Instead, the hostesses offered us a table for 4 hours later in day despite the fact that there was ample seating and no need for reservations. If our attire was the issue, then the hostesses should have informed us of same as opposed to offering us table 4 hrs later. The staff has discouraged me from dining at this restaurant anytime in the future.

Great atmosphere and service. ...

Great atmosphere and service. All of the meats are served table side and you can have as much as you would like. The service was very good also constantly had a someone stopping by the table. The food was unfortunately not so good. Every piece of meat was over salted, taking away from the flavor of the meats. This was unfortunate because they cooked the meat correctly but the salt was overbearing. I would not go back for the price.

This place is a little on the expensive side (all you can eat), but has the most excellent food and service you could ever imagine. I have never been so impressed with a restaurant in the suburban area. The service is outstanding.

We went to TdB for my wife's BDay.

Positives:
Great food
Great salad bar
Interesting / fun idea

Negatives:
It took a while to get our drinks.

It's noisy in there.

Between the online reserv and the server, there were two mentions of my wife's Bday with one direct request for a small simple desert. Nothing.

Very expnsv and not quite worth it. $155 for two people.

They are a bit pushy. He tried 3x to sell my wife lobster + meat + salad bar when she said she wasn't hungry. They try to oversell too much food.

It's a fun, different meal with qlty food. Just don't make it a habit.

Went on a Tuesday night....

Went on a Tuesday night. The salad bar was fresh and abundant. The meat selection was good--beef and chicken were great, lamb selections were a little dry. A little pricey for the quality, but the quantity could make up for that. Cheese bread/popovers were greasy and unappealing. We were seated in the main room, which was full and very noisy. Overall a nice meal.

My husband and I had reservations on a SAT night (7:45) and still had to wait 30 minutes. We were seated in the back room, which was completely empty of customers ("retaliation" for us questioning the wait time?). Throughout dinner we were the only people in the back room. (On the one hand, it was nice to be away from the nosy main dining area, but it took a while for the gauchos to come by.) Salad bar selection was mediocre, and did not look fresh. Lobster bisque soup a little salty. The bar area was small, but they do have an extensive wine list. The cheese bread tasted more like doughy popovers. Meat selection was good, but did not care for the lamb or chicken. For the price and the hype, it was disappointing and we would not go back.
