First Look: Folklore

The folks behind BYOB fave Tango Sur operate this Argentine spot in Wicker Park, and the menu isn't too different from Tango Sur’s steak-heavy lineup of Latin American specialties. The main menu difference here is that organic and grass-fed beef are offered as options alongside the standard stuff. And unlike BYOB Tango Sur, you don't have to make a liquor run on the way to dinner. Folklore has a full bar mixing up mojitos, caipirinhas, pisco sours and other Latin libations, as well as a rotating menu of seasonal cocktails and a wine list drawn solely from Argentina, Chile and Spain. The Division Street space features rustic-industrial accents such as exposed brick, iron chandeliers and a pressed tin ceiling. The candlelit main dining room is prime for a date night, while the comfortable front bar area welcomes the late-night crowd.
