I can only think I went to this place on a bad night--based on all other reviews. I thought their food was horrible and the meat was tough. My teeth ached after the meal and it was like eating leather.
I would never go back. I will say their empanadas are good but suggest you pass on the meat.

Charbroiled steak w/ fried plantains and potatoes was incredible, and cheap. We had to walk for an hour afterwards b/c we were so full. Chicken w/ tomato sauce was average. Stick with the steak.

When we got there it was not busy but then the place filled up and our waiter didn't miss a beat. He took care of us the whole time and the food was great. You can't beat the value. A true gem in an area that seems to knock Mom & Pop joints out of the neighborhood. $30 fed both of us and we had plenty of leftovers. And byob. Go there now if you love meat!

Nothing fancy, but the food is incredibly good, and they give you a ton of it. One of my favorite "cheap eats" restaurants in the city. The grilled chicken is to-die-for!

This place is awesome! I agree that it is not the most romantic place but great for the 4th or 5th date. The food is outstanding! I don't know how they get that smokey flavor in their steaks?! Great prices too. If you're looking for a lunch option, they have a steak lunch with beans, rice and a salad for 4.95. You absolutely can't go wrong! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

MEAT LOVERS PARADISE! Limited Menu (no appetizers per se -- just side), offers several steaks, ribs, brisket, lamb, chicken and even rabbit. All are char-grilled, with a superb smoky and spiced flavor. All entrees, served with enough side carbs. to fill up even the heartiest appetites (all incl. white rice, steak fries, boiled red-skin potato, & even sweet plaintans). We absolutely LOVED the lamb and beef brisket, but neighbors chicken plate w/ beans looked fabulous too. Atmosphere is very casual, ambience is just fun with cute Columbian nick-nacks, maps, etc. Best of all, great value and BYO.

You don't come here for a romantic night out, but the food is fantastic. Columbian style meats...cheap, and quick. I thought I found a great place in other Latin Steak Joints, but this place is the best.

Its one of the best if not the best Colombian restaunrant I have been to in Chicago. I recomend to try the Matrimonio or Churasco.

This place is awesome! The food is amazing!!! I have been there 3 or 4 times, and has been the best Columbian Steak house by far. The atmosphere isn't that great, BUT the food is worth it. It is BYOB as well which is great too! I Definitley recommend it - you will be hooked.
