Some fine soul food can be found at H & A. This well-maintained restaurant has a family atmosphere and is good food for breakfast, lunch or dinner. It is one of the few thriving businesses in this economically depressed area. 'We're doing a good business because we serve good food,' explains Richard, H & A's manager. African-American sketches and drawings cover the walls of the spacious restaurant, which is set up like a cafeteria with several comfortable booths. The back room is an elegant banquet hall that is sometimes used as a dining area when the restaurant gets really busy. The homemade desserts and homemade chili is recommended. The menu changes daily.
