The worst sushi I've ever had
By northcenter from North Center, October 29, 2009

This was without a doubt, hands down The Worst sushi I have ever had in my life. We ordered the T Spot--their signature dish--and it was absolutely disgusting. The sushi was slimy and the rice wasn't cooked properly. I couldn't even taste fish because each piece was completely slathered with mayonnaise (yes, mayonnaise). Service was incredibly slow, especially considering the fact that the place was empty. Plus the waitress assured us the dish served two and came back with 5 pieces at a whopping $17. Avoid this place at all costs--unless you're looking for a good cup of tea.

This place is very nice on the inside, but the Sushi is not so stellar. The rolls had just a tiny piece of fish and way too much rice on the outside. Expensive and mediocre.

Tspot continues to surprise me! My husband and I have been frequenting Tspot since they opened. They continue to shower us with great service and food! The sushi chef is amazing he is also very friendly! The owners have a great sense of humor and will be more than happy to sit and talk about anything we bring up. Thank you T-spot for all your great dinners.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!

I would highly recommend going here. The nigiri is excellent and so are the maki. I usually go to Coast, but this place is better---with no wait and no ridiculous reservation policies. The restaurant itself has a great atmosphere, they play good music, and the service is awesome. Honestly, the food totally speaks for itself!

Ehhh....not so much

This place is very close to me and my roommate's home and we both love sushi so we decided to check it out. The place has a really inviting and warm atmosphere and the tea is delicious. However, the sashimi sucked compared to other sushi restaurants in the city. The rolls were ok, nothing spectacular for the price...if you are looking for a great cup of tea and a place to warm up on a cold day go to the TSpot but if you're looking for great sushi, we'd recommend a different spot.

Don't waste your time!

When one can find so much exceptional sushi in Chicago at reasonable prices, why waste time and money on over priced, chincy, meagerly-portioned, not-so-fresh tasting, completely mediocre make from T Spot? Typically "trendy" atmosphere and is just an excuse to charge a lot. The "signature" make are the same thing you find everywhere else. For something really good, I suggest Tank, Sushi X, Sushi Wabi ... there's a ton of great sushi in the city, but not here!

I was hoping this Sushi place would be great seeing as it is around the block from me, but I was sadly disappointed. Half the maki rolls were almost all rice and no Sushi and the sushi overall did not taste fresh, plus it was expensive. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Perhaps there tea might be the only reason to go there.

I think this was a real good place to eat good sushi. My only complant is believe it or not, the parking. But the restaurant itself is a cozy place in Lincoln Park where the sushi is real good and the service is friendly. I'll be back.

Excellent food. The service is a bit slow, but friendly. They have a few insteresting rolls, many choices, all of it fresh, and good value. I plan to go back often. Note that it's BYOB.

My girlfriend and I have been to many different sushi restaurants and carry-outs in the Chicago, Skokie and Evanston areas, and t-spot has got to be one of my overall favorites. Our waiter was charming, the fish was fresh, and their out door patio is super cozy. My favorite makis were the chicago fire and pearls. Great presentation and taste. It's a little pricey, but it's also BYOB.
