Really Great Experience...just not memorable

Oceano feels like a restaurant in a nice hotel. The food was really good, the service was perfect, the martinis were just right...and yet there wasnt anything special or outstanding. It is hard to find good seafood in STL, and they had good seafood, but overall Oceano lacked any experimentation or unique quality.

I had heard of Oceano before, but was never quite sure where it was or what type of food they served. A friend of mine wanted to have lunch there this weekend, so I figured I would give it a shot. The restaurant's space is very cool, with large windows that open onto the sidewalk and let us enjoy a perfect spring day. Oceano's focus is seafood, and they have a menu that gives many options from which to choose. For those that don't like fish, the options are limited, but not absent. The food was good. Nothing that amazed me, but the service that we received was great. Thanks Dan. Also, a trip here won't destroy your pocket book.

have been there many times and not had a bad meal at all. prices are great for the quality that you get and i have sent many people there who feel the same way.
