Neighborhood: Loop
1 E. Wacker Drive

Chicago, IL 60601

Price range: $$$ ($16-$25)
Loop outpost of the Oregon-based seafood chain. McCormick prides itself on fresh fish; the menu offers over 30 choices with a variety of preparations. Menus change daily, but lunch offerings might include choices like tilapia with cashews and Jamaican rum butter sauce or deep-fried Atlantic salmon cakes with Granny Smith apples and leeks. Blue marlin with Swiss chard and baked cod with lemon butter are sample dinner selections. Don't like fish? The menu also offers meaty choices like a pork chop with grilled peaches. The masculine decor is similar to the Gold Coast address with stained glass accents and plenty of dark wood. Ask to be seated in one of the "snugs" – booths are fitted with curtains for added privacy.
