If you find yourself in Lakeview with a craving for king crab at 1 a.m., you're in luck. Soiree owner Jeff Vasilas has stepped in to revamp old school crab house Cy's into Tribeca, a late-night seafood spot and martini lounge. The restaurant remains open during renovations and aims to debut the new name and concept the weekend of Nov. 20. The renovated back room will debut by the year's end.
The new concept is named after New York City's Tribeca (a downtown 'hood south of Chinatown, short for "Triangle below Canal"). In-the-works features -- including a dedicated martini bartender shakes up fresh fruit-driven cocktails, a dedicated staffer shucking oysters and a beer garden with a sunken ship theme -- sound ambitious to say the least.
