We went here for the 1st time on Fri., 1/18/08. I ordered the salmon. It was overcooked. A bit crisp on the ends. The salmon typically comes with a side of spinach and boiled potatoes. I asked if I could have another type of vegetable rather than the spinach and no potatoes. The waiter returned and said that they could not substitute. I still ordered with a side of Cremini Mushrooms and Asparagus. Each item was somewhere in the price range of $3.95. The food was delivered with a side of Cremini Mushrooms which was probably close to the amount of just a little more than a Tablespoon. The chef did come around to the tables and asked if everything was OK and I told him I felt the side of mushrooms was very small and he said well, it's a side of mushrooms. What do you want? The Asparagus was fine. The waiter did bring the meal with the potatoes after I requested no potatoes. My husband ordered the Chicken Crusted with Parmesan Cheese. It was just OK. The wine selection was satisfactory. The size of the martini's weren't too bad. An average size. The ambiance was not very nice in the upstairs room. There were a few holes in the ceiling probably for air vents still being worked on. Overall, a big disappointment. We were very sorry that we decided to try M.T. Barrels. We wasted our evening going here.
