This bright, cheerful sandwich shop in Wicker Park does one thing and aims to do it well. The menu lists just five kinds of banh mi, the traditional Vietnamese sandwich served on a French-style roll. In addition to the classic ham and pate variety, you'll also find ginger chicken, minced pork, roasted portobello and (our favorite) char siu pork. Nearly everything except the bread, which comes from Lincoln Square Vietnamese bakery Nhu Lan, is made in-house. There's also a wide selection of packaged Asian sweets and drinks available at the counter.
