Even better in the summertime with the outdoor seating, but Birchwood's food and service is great any time of year.

The food here is great. It IS a little on the pricey side, but the food is awesome, so I don't mind spending a little more. I've pretty much had everything on the menu, except for the burger, and have had a great experience so far. Great addition to the neighborhood!

I love Birchwood Kitchen. I've now been three times and each time I go, I sample something different from their creative menu. The food is great, the service is friendly and attentive (without being intrusive), and the enclosed outdoor patio in back is a great place to spend hours catching up with friends on a nice day. This place is a find -- great for lunch/brunch, but as a BYO, it is also a great place to enjoy a nice casual dinner. P.S. each time I've gone, street parking has been readily available. Enjoy!

I've gone here several times, and I am so glad this spot moved into our neighborhood. You can tell all the food is made with the freshest ingredients, and it's very flavorful. Even though the weather is getting warmer, I'm still a huge fan of their soups! There is a new quiche everyday, and everything I've tried so far is wonderful! The service is exceptionally nice and attentive as well. I hope this place continues to be successful!

having read the previous review i was a little apprehensive about having lunch here but, having lived in the hood for a number of years i was more than anxious for a great deli option nearby. and i wasn't disappointed. the food was delicious. we had the split pea ham soup, the quiche, beef & cheddar sammie & a great cup of marinated olives. everything was super fresh & top notch quality. the staff were all very friendly as well. they have done a great job with this place. i believe that you get what you pay for. if you want a $5.00 sandwich, jimmy johns is right down the street....

Don't get me wrong, the sandwich i had was very tasty. However, it struck me as being a bit on the small side. Now I'm not asking for super-size-me type portions, but the sandwich was maybe 5" long if I'm lucky. So the $9 i paid for my ham ($2 extra) and cheese (does include a handful of patato chips) seems a bit steep. Sure the ingredients might be posh, but it's still just a ham'n'cheese sandwich. I would probably be willing to pay this price for something a bit more exotic, but for somethine i could make at home in about 40 seconds... The place has a good feel to it, though some music with a pulse would add some energy. It's good, stop by and check it out, but I probably won't be rushing back to spend $20 on two sandwiches.
