Kathleen, you nailed it! The chef added a tapas-style octopus casserole and calamari to burgerland to spice things up a bit - but, just as the turkey burger, those dishes were boring and not hot when served. What bothers me is a now spreading tendency at wanna be- hip n'neighborhoody restaurants to charge 10$ for a glass of wine that I can buy for 12$ at White Hen.

We went last weekend, unlike the review questioning the menu, we enjoyed our meal and didn't mind seeing items you have seen on other menu's, the squid appetizer with a Greek twist was very good, while the lamb shank with white beans was very good. The atmosphere was upbeat, 30-40 crowd. Branch 27 isn't trying to reinvent the wheel. Many restaurants have gotten to fancy, and with fancy comes a cost, we thought it was well priced. That is why its a neighborhood restaurant, but can appeal to anyone looking for a good meal. Finally, Branch 27 has a great beer selection, microbrews you don't find everywhere i.e. Dogfish 90 minute pale ale.
