Despite the name, Dee Snider is not -- we repeat -- is not behind this new bakery. However, its menu of cupcakes, cookies, eclairs, cakes and tarts is indeed rockin' Old Town. Business partners Douglas Lee and Lisa Alexander, who is the baker, were friends for a long time before opening this spot. The name was inspired by a sketch a friend of a friend had made years before, which became the spot's logo. The space tries to recreate the ambience of an old-fashioned neighborhood bakery with marble countertops, antique furniture and a cozy fireplace. Look for Intelligentsia coffee, and Mighty Leaf teas as well.
