This Lincoln Square coffee shop maintains the neighborhood's quaint old European traditions. There's a gently worn exposed brick wall, fleur-de-lis borders around the chalkboard menus, and a display case full of flaky, buttery, mouth-watering French pastries to accompany a long coffee list. Hip, but mellow background music sets the mood for patrons to delve into books and conversation, or take advantage of the free (with purchase) WiFi net access. French and Mediterranean flavors fill the small but varied menu. Try the quiche or the croissant-and-cheese sandwich for breakfast, or the Med sandwich with hummus, artichoke, tomato and cucumber for lunch.
