The Drunken Goat
- Neighborhood: West Loop
- 809-813 W. Randolph St.
- Chicago, IL 60607
"Top Chef" Season 4 winner Stephanie Izard is teaming up with partners Rob Katz and Kevin Boehm of Boka Restaurant Group (Boka, Landmark, Perennial) at this "fun and funky" shared-plates spot focusing on Spanish and Italian flavors in the West Loop. Izard has big plans for the spot—she'll be doing house-cured meats and lots of charcuterie, and she's even blending her own signature wine (with help from a Walla Walla, Wash., winery). So what's with the name? "Izard" refers to a goat found in the Pyrenees Mountains and Izard (the chef, not the goat) loves cheese and wine; plus, Drunken Goat, an artisan Spanish goat cheese with a wine-soaked rind, is one of Izard's favorites. The restaurant is currently set for a January opening.
