A great pastry shop!

I specifically went all the way to Andersonville to get a cannoli at Pasticceria Natalina, and it was well worth it. My boyfriend got a cannoli, and I got a meringuette (a creamy pistachio filling sandwiched between dark chocolate and two meringues). They were both delicious! We got the cannoli, the meringuette, two single espressos, and a pistachio nougat to go for $20. The cannoli was excellent, but the meringuette was one of the best pastries I've ever eaten. Everything in the display case look beautiful and delicious. The shop's smell was undescribable. I will definitely be back and will bring guests!

Absolutely phenominal pastries. WOW. I haven't had any this good outside of europe. I love that everything is baked fresh daily, every pastry I've had there has been the best of it's kind, it's obvious that a lot of love is in each one. Very truly top notch ingredients, Friendly, wonderful staff. Natalie took the time to explain the difference between ice cream and gelato with a smile. They are always patient and smiling and I can tell they truly want their customers to have the best of everything! Considering the quality of ingredients and experience of the chefs paired with their insistence on a fresh product with no cut corners, It's a steal. You will not find better pastries in all of chicago.

Wonderful

I really can't understand all of the negative reviews. The service was friendly and helpful, even letting us try a new almond and orange cream puff that they were experimenting with for free. The food was absolutly delicious. Yes, it cost $9.00 for two deserts, but first off they were huge (at least two-three servings) and also they were gourmet. Don't go here if you want a $1 cookie to snack on, go if you want something delicious and a little different.

I've given this bakery three tries. The quality of the pastries is average, and certainly not worth the cost. And the service at best is indifferent, but can be rude and abrupt. I won't be back for a fourth time.

The quality is just not there, I was so excited to try this place out.

The espresso coffee was no good, and the pastries were average at best.

Natalie and Nick provide top notch quality & service. Natalie worked with me to create an amazing birthday cake/assorted dessert display. Not only was the final product beautiful, she wanted to make sure we tasted the best possible product and she fill the cannolis and delivered everything herself right before the party started. Needless to say the desserts were a huge hit. Thank you Natalie & Nick!

Pasticceria Natalina really needs to...
By Jessica from chicago, il, July 15, 2007

Pasticceria Natalina really needs to get real about their prices. My husband and I invited 4 other couples over for brunch this afternoon. I went to Pasticceria Natalina yesterday to get some sweets for the brunch. I changed my plans when I figured out that my purchase there was going to run about $140!!! That's much more that all the other food and alcohol I purchased for the brunch. I went to another shop in the neighborhood and paid less than $50. However, I did purchase 2 pastries to go for me and my husband. They were pretty good, but not any better than the pastries I bought for the brunch.

Absolutely wonderful! Remember the old saying "You get what you pay for" well that's exactly what you will find at Pasticceria Natalina. The bakery goods here are top shelve everything taste light & fresh. My wife recently bought my birthday cake here (a toasted coconut covered cake with fresh strawberries and cream) and I have to say in my 52 years I have never tasted a better cake in my life. The cake was made the way a cake should be made... ... it was light and fresh with no sugary aftertaste. The grandkids enjoyed my birthday cake so much that they now want their birthday cakes made by Natalie & Nick. We just placed another order for the same type of cake for one of their birthdays this coming weekend. I'll be making room during the meal for cake afterwards! On a 4 star scale I would definitely give Pasticceria Natalina 4 BIG Stars! Hector.
