This Lakeview shop is Chicago's first outpost of the Dallas-based gelato chain. The folks who founded the company are Italy natives who moved to the United States specifically to spread their passion for the rich, creamy frozen treat, and they're doing it with a catalog of more than 200 milk-, water- and soy-based recipes. About 30 flavors are available at any given time. Look for classics such as lemon, chocolate and hazelnut as well as wild cards like chocolate-jalapeno, strawberry-black pepper and sweet potato-maple syrup. You'll also find coffee drinks, hot chocolate, shakes and other gelato-based indulgences.
