Odyssey Cruises: User Reviews
Having lived in Chicago for over 55 years, I would never normally do a TOURIST trip, but I have to admit, I was more then pleased and overwhelmed at how beautiful my city looked on this very classy Cruise Ship.
I was transported to a most wonderful adventure. In my own back yard.
The food, and friendly atmosphere of this ship, made this a MUST SEE for anyone who comes to visit my family.
Until you expeirence this great adventure, you will not really know how exciting this city can look. Especially at night! I felt like I was in a movie!
If you do anything in this city, you must do this.
Be it a first date, or , in my case, a celebration of 18 years of marriage, you have to take this cruise. You will not forget the pleasure and relaxation you will feel.
The staff is more then kind.
I never let anyone know I lived here. I suggest you do the same. Expierence this from a tourist and you will love it.
Expierence it has a Chicago Native, and you will be pleasantly surprised.
Have fun!

It was my birthday, and a very beautiful evening in Chicago. Me and my husband were very pleased with the warm welcome from the Odyssey staff. Because they knew it was my birthday it was even more special. We really enjoyed the food,, the music and the special attention. Thank you Odyssey for making my birthday very special. Inez Smith

The Odyssey is a truly fun and elegant experience. My husband and I recently took his parents for a Sunday brunch cruise and we had a wonderful time. All aspects of the cruise are perfect from the beginning. Everyone greets you very warmly when you get on the boat and the staff is very excited to see you. Once we were seated on the bottom deck by the window our server came by and explained all the food stations as well as all aspects of the ship and where the best views were. She was very sweet and informative. We received complimentary champagne to start and proceeded to enjoy the great food. I was very pleasantly surprised by the brunch food. Everything I tasted was really good and I'm fairly picky! The bacon, the banana french toast, the belgian waffles, the lunch entrees especially the chicken and the sirloin, and lastly of course the many desserts and the chocolate fountain. It was all very tasty! Lastly visiting the captain's cabin was also fun! All in all a great experience with amazing service and of course unbelievable views. (Btw, my father in law celebrated his birthday and received a special huge dessert with a candle!)

I went on the Odyssey for a mother's day cruise with my wife and toddler, and although it rained very hard, we had a nice time. The food was good, the service was very polite and helpful, and the boat was very clean and not overcrowded. The boat has 3 levels, the top being the smallest and least crowded. Paying $60 to guarantee a window is probably not worth it since all tables are either on the window or one row away. It was better than I expected, so that was a relief!

My husband and I celebrated our 1 yr wedding anniversary here during a Saturday brunch cruise. All the staff was very friendly. We received complimentary champagne. The buffet food was pretty good and very plentiful. It was refreshed and available during the entire 2hr cruise so you could eat when you wanted as many times as you wanted. The views of the city were great, the ship was very clean and nicely decorated. I would highly recommend it for a celebration for 2. Only not so great thing, was the tables were very close together. But on a beautiful day, you'll probably be outside enjoying the observation deck most of the time anyway. We definately got our money's worth!
Report This ReviewWe had our wedding reception on the Odyssey for 60 guests. We experienced zero assistance from the sales rep, rude wait staff, average food and ridiculously tight table placement for a premium price. I regret the decision to celebrate our wedding on the Odyssey.
Report This ReviewWE HAD A PARTY OF 20. NOT EVEN ONE MEMBER OF OUR PARTY LIKE IT. THE FOOD WAS BAD AND VERY SALTY.THE BEEF WAS TOUGH...IT WAS BUFFET STYLE.ANOTHER PARTY OF 20 EAT OVER AN HOUR AFTER US, THEY EAT FROM THE SAME BUFFET WHICH WAS SERVED TO US AND WAS NEVER REFRESHED FOR THEM, OLD AND COLD IS WHAT ONE OF THEIR PARTY MEMBER SAID WHEN I ASKED THEM.
MY ADVICE IS TAKE YOUR MONEY TO A GOOD CHICAGO RESTAURANT AND ENJOY THE FOOD..AS FOR US WE LIVE AND LEARN...NEVER..NEVER AGAIN...........
Family of about 20 people went for dinner cruise for my father's birthday couple months ago. The atmosphere was great, but space between seats and tables were just horrible. We had 10 people assigned to each table, and it was pretty uncomfortable. If Odyssey could provide ample space for larger parties, this will be the perfect place to throw parties and family gatherings. The overall experience was positive.
Report This ReviewMy wife and I really enjoyed it. It was perfect for our special Valentines Day. The views of the city from the water were beautiful. The ship is large and elegant. We both ordered the steak, which was excellent. The service was also very good.
Report This ReviewThanks for making my engagement day memorable. Recommend for any special occasion that calls for a break from the ordinary.
