A great place to chill

I frequent only local coffee houses and this one is at the top of my list. The atmosphere is great to read a book, work on the computer (no wifi), or chat with friends. They have a variety of seating options from outside (pending weather of course), bistro sets, and an elevated section with low tables and pillows on the floor. The atmosphere is perfect for the casual setting and warmth that you associate with local coffee houses. The chains simply cannot compete with this.

The food is good (if you are a vegetarian seeking light fare or looking for desert). They are willing to customize things if you have dietary restrictions or you just don't like something.

The coffee is definitely better quality than the chains such as Starbucks, but the atmosphere lends a big hand in the experience. They also have a small selection of loose leaf teas, juices, smoothies, power drinks, etc.

And the service is very good for a coffee house. This is not a restaurant, it is a cafe. So they approach serving in a team-like fashion instead of one on one. If you ever need anything, just signal or walk over and anyone will gladly assist. They tend to be very busy at times and that can be the best way to get the service you need. If you are looking for someone to cater to your every need in terms of service, you should probably go elsewhere for your meal and pop over there for a nice java.

They also have a little shop in the back and travel books if you need a distraction while you are there. The clocks from around the world make a nice touch as well. I particularly enjoy the fact that they support local artists by displaying paintings on consignment.

This is one of the better cafes around. I enjoy the atmosphere, the food, beverages, and the service. Hats off to the girl with the long hair and tattoos. She is my favorite. I don't go there too often but she remembers what i like when I do and always smiles.

Kopi is a pretty nice place to sit and read a book, drink tea, or chat with friends. The biggest downer is that there's no WiFi and only one plug in the entire place! (Back of the restaurant) I'd love to take my laptop here but alas, not possible! The food is okay depending on what you get. I think we have to remember this is primarily a COFFEE SHOP that just has food. Don't expect a diner or restaurant! The food is a little pricey and you can see their kitchen is modest at best. I almost always have good service. The girl with longer hair and tattoos is especially nice and cool.

My favorite has been hot coffee/mexican hot chocolate sitting in the window for hours. And in response to another post, I always get refills and water there!

Really poor service. I've lived in this neighborhood for 7 years, and there are much better places to go. Decor can go a long way, but it can't make up for the bad attitude and boring dishes.

A very nice little cafe to visit. There's a little corner where you sit on the floor covered in pillows with 1.2 ft. tables. Very good for hanging out with old friends.

You pretty much get what you pay for here. Higher priced food items for larger than normal portions.

Still, a cool place to visit

Note: No WiFi

Very unorganized place. One person takes your order, another brings your food, then another person brings your check. You never see the same wait staff. Food was not good waited 35 minutes for food that is cooked in a microwave. Will never go back!!

I've tried this place a couple times. Being a former barista left me disappointed. I went in to order a cup of coffee and paid for it so I could sit outside figuring I'd tip when I was done but not one friendly face ever showed up for a refill or a glass of water. So much for trying to support the local over Starbuck's.

Hey, Kopi, two questions:
1. why no wifi
2. why is it always so hot in your place? Can't you open those big windows or turn on the ac?
I miss loving you, but you haven't kept up with the Joneses.
