Jeepers!
Chuck E. Cheese tried it, Little Caesar's tried it, but so far, nobody has staged a better indoor carnival than Jeepers! There's actually a roller coaster in here--it's nothing like the coasters at Great America, but it's not bad for a drizzly or cold day when all the big amusement parks are closed or just unappealing. There are also bumper cars, a Tilt-A-Whirl, video games, a miniature railroad, and skee-ball games at which children can earn points toward stuffed animals and other prizes. Jeepers! has its own cartoon characters--J.J. the Monkey, Trish the Tiny Rhino and Kronkle the Wolf--and there are always cartoons and puppet shows playing on monitors throughout the building. The place is aimed at the under-12 set, so note the age requirements: before 3 p.m., anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult; after 3 p.m., anyone over 18 must be accompanied by a child.
