Gina Pavone, who used to own Winner's Sports Bar in Lincoln Square (now The Grafton) is behind this Nuevo Latino eatery in Andersonville. The lively space features glass doors that open onto Clark Street, exposed brick (the only remnant of the space's former life as a martial arts studio), mahogany accents and a modern vibe. Appetizers include the likes of ceviche and three different types of empanadas, such as Cuban-spiced smoked ham. The menu also features tapas such as fire-grilled squid with roasted red peppers, fajitas and chicken in adobo sauce. An eclectic dessert menu and a variety of specialty drinks complement the spicy fare and sultry environs.
